Preparing for a big race? Want to see if you’re latest block of training produced
the desired results? Looking to lose a few pounds? Just want to get fit? Endurance Geeks’ VO2 testing is a great place to start.
What is VO2 Max?
VO2 Max is the maximum volume of oxygen that the body consumes during intense, whole-body exercise. It is a measure of the body's ability to do work both aerobically and anaerobically.
How is VO2 Max measured?
VO2 Max testing is performed using a graded exercise test that measures your body's oxygen consumption during various intensities of exercise. For triathletes and duathletes we recommend performing both a treadmill and cycle ergometer test. For non-athletes, we recommend a treadmill test; however, a cycle ergometer will be administered if desired.
The achievement of anaerobic threshold is dependent on your fitness level, and your particular training routine.
VO2 Max is expressed as a rate in milliliters per kilogram of body weight per minute (ml/kg/min).
What do I get?
Your VO2 test includes a body composition analysis; a printed report of your heart rate and VO2 at rest, at Aerobic Threshold, at Anaerobic Threshold, and at Peak exercise; and a testing booklet including dietary and training information. Testing provides heart rate training zones so you can train at the right intensities at the right times.
When are my results available?
Results are available immediately and we will go over them with you in detail.
Who can be tested?
We will test any individual over 18 years.
