Charlene Alcorn
In 2008, Charlene Alcorn
decided to make the transition from "Marathon Mom" to
triahtlete. She had already completed four marathons and
had her sights set on some loftier goals. That is when
EGeeks came onto the scene to help with training and
provide plans designed around her busy schedule.
Charlene was instantly hooked on triathlons and went
from winning the Overall Female Masters Division in
her first race all the way to the finish line of Ironman
Louisville in 2009. She was the first EGeek Ironman!
"Egeeks took the guess work out of training....all I had
to do was do it. If I had questions, they were always
quick to answer. They closely monitored my progress to
assure I was not over-training and risking injury and
made adjustments to my training plan when necessary."
Since coming on board with Endurance Geeks, Charlene has
added plenty of hardware to the trophy case. Some of
her career highlights include:
- Three first place finishes as the biker for relay
teams at the Music City Triathlon in 2008, 2010, and
2011.
- First place in age group at the Old Hickory Triathlon
in 2011 and third place in 2009.
- Third place in age group at Mach Tenn Triathlon in
2010.
- Placed in the top three of age group in four 5K races.
- Third place in age group at Cardinal Harbour 70.3 in
2010.
- Recently completed Muncie 70.3 in July 2010.
"No matter your athletic goals; big or small, to finish
or place, EGeeks can take you there."
